Requests for copies of public records pursuant to the California Public Records Act (CPRA) must reasonably describe an identifiable record or records. Requestor must provide necessary information to allow the Department of Planning and Development (Department) to search for the relevant records.
The law permits up to ten (10) calendar days from the receipt of the request to determine whether the Department possesses any disclosable public records sought by the request. Please note the 10-day initial determination deadline is not a record production deadline.”
Under the circumstances specified in Section 7922.535(c) of the Government Code, the Department may extend the time in which the requesting party is to be notified of the determination for an additional fourteen (14) calendar days.
