Functions of Land Development Engineering
Project conditioning
During the application process administered by the Planning Office, the Land Development Engineering Section reviews the project and establishes conditions of approval relating to improvement of privately maintained streets and on-site grading improvements and flood control.
Plan review and processing
After a project has received conditional approval from the Planning Office, the Land Development Engineering Section reviews the final engineering plans and specifications for conformance with the conditions of approval, County Land Development and Grading Ordinances, and County standards.
Grading Permit and Inspection
After a grading permit has been issued, inspectors from the Land Development Engineering Section inspect the work during construction.
