The County Surveyor's Office is responsible for reviewing and recording parcel maps, subdivision maps, records of survey, corner records, and additional survey related documents to ensure they comply with state and county laws and maintains the County Surveyor's Office Record Index GIS of filed maps and unrecorded surveys. The County Surveyor’s Office also prepares, reviews, and approves district boundaries for the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO). The county surveyor’s office provides land surveying services to other county departments.
